i was lucky enough to attend this show, the only one of that run. it was kick ass from the get go..the golden road opener smoked and chest fever was a perfect example of why phil lesh has larry campbell in his lineup. the jam out of chest fever into brown eyed is killer..the acoustic set was a freakin treat! phil on a stand up bass! now i've seen everything. the toast was funny because one lucky fan was going to be picked to do it. lucky fella. peggy o was beautiful and rickyFL (the previous post) I couldnt have stated my thoughts on the second set better than you. it felt like it was never going to end and i legitimately thought after morning dew as well they were done. god were we wrong..

on a side note i smoked my last cigarette at that show, its been 2 1/4 yrs since still the best decision of my life!

I was in Europe and missed the whole run, but just got back into town on this day and, luckily, was able to buy a ticket (for only $75!) on eBay while waiting at the airport. OH MY GOD!! It was a Dead-Head's DREAM show -- couldn't have picked a better song selection if I was asked to! Acoustic set??? BOING! And the 3rd set seemed like it was never gonna end! I thought they were done after Morning Dew, but NO! I swear, the set felt like it was 4 hours long!! Too bad about the encores missing here -- I called Brokedown (felt it in my stoner bones) and I've waited for over 25 years to hear an Unbroken Chain!! I LAUGHED, I CRIED, 'til there was nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Kudos to Adam Crandall. Thank you for doing it and for posting it.

I usually complain that AUD's don't have enough bass, but this one features adequate low end. Good mics. This recording has captured the hall ambience with definition. Sweet.

After listening to this show I was pleased with the overall quality of play. I like how they made their transitions from song to song. I also liked all the new arrangements. I like the lady singing, too. She adds presence. Keyboards are finally prominent, but not overbearing. They were almost non-existent at Berkeley.

My initial impression upon hearing 10 minutes of this was that this sounds very similar to me of how "the Dead" sounded during their 2003 tour. One Guitar sounds a lot like Jimmy Herring.

Drummer Molo is a monster. He really keeps them coming.

I attended the Sep 23 show at the Berkeley Greek and this show is far superior. I imagine if this lineup stayed together for a year, or so, they could possibly accomplish great things.

This show is competently played, has a rocking setlist with a lot of good choices, and features some nice soloing by all. The sound is excellent.

this show is a pretty good recording Adam anyway. Just ashame it's missing the encores. Three stars or closer to 3.5

everyone was really on, unbelievably high energy show... jack greene was really proving himself this night. be sure to check out the sugaree that closed out the first set!

I was there, and this show rocked front to back. Although the Brokedown encore was a let down to some. not me. Check out brown eyed women and sugaree in first set, they were giving knuckles and high fives all around after that sweet baby. Def. set the tone for the rest of the show.
